More than just a mini-Raptor, the Ranger Raptors dimensions and suspension tune make it ideal for tight trails and dense forests, but it can do the boring truck stuff too. Sporting bulging fenders, plus-size aggressive tires, a wider track, and a lifted suspension, it's tempting to pigeon-hole the Ranger Raptor as nothing more than an F-150 Raptor mini-me. Though it does share the traditional body-on-frame pickup construction and a styling theme, its smaller size, shorter wheelbase, and lighter overall weight give it a distinct personality of its own. It's easier to wield down tight, tree-lined trails and traffic-choked urban areas, and the thrust of its 405-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine is but a tap of the accelerator away. Multiple drive modes optimize its performance whatever the situation, including blazing across washouts and dirt moguls. Fox dampers work with the Raptor-specific suspension geometry to keep things remarkable civil, including when touching down from brief airborne excursions. Available only as a crew cab with five-foot bed, perhaps its greatest achievement is how easily it can slip into the comparably dull day-to-day routine without enforcing a comfort penalty in exchange for its off-road charms. It is that multi-tool-like versatility mixed with its go-pedal gusto that helped secure the Ranger Raptor a spot on our 2025 10Best Trucks list. As one of our favorites in its segment, the Ford Ranger Raptor has also earned a spot on our Editors Choice list for 2025. At our test track, the Ranger Raptor hit 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and eclipsed the quarter-mile in 14.1 seconds at 97 mph. Every Ranger Raptor has a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Ford's latest Sync infotainment software and a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster. That means Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot are standard. Along with various charging ports, the widebody Ranger is also available with options such as built-in navigation and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks and an active exhaust system are also included. Traversing narrow trails is much easier with the Ranger Raptor than it is with the larger F-150 Raptor due to the mid-sizer's narrower footprint. On the road, the Ranger Raptor delivers a relatively comfortable ride, and the steering is tuned better here than in the regular Ranger pickup.
